Port City’s Breakwater Project Approval Soon

Quetta: Balochistan Chief Minister Jam Kamal on Thursday said the provincial government would soon approve the Gwadar breakwater project, bringing an ease in the fishermen community’s issues caused by delays in the scheme.

“The Balochistan government will approve the Gwadar breakwater project in the next district development working party’s meeting,” the chief minister said during a meeting with the delegation of Fishermen Itihad Community in the provincial capital.

The community informed the chief minister about their issues, including the delay in the breakwater project and sewerage issues in the port city.

Ordering authorities concerned to expedite work on development projects, CM Kamal directed the Gwadar Development Authority director general to speed up work on sewerage projects in the port city.

The delegation expressed optimism over CM’s assurance related to the prevailing issues.

Meanwhile, CM Kamal lauded the Baluchistan Awami Party (BAP) for its progress in the province.

“BAP has expanded in every corner of Baluchistan, including the future’s economic hub Gwadar,” Kamal said in a meeting with a delegation of party workers from Gwadar chapter on Thursday. During the meeting party affairs and reorganization of the party in Gwadar was discussed.

Kamal said: “Being BAP president, I praise the efforts of our workers who in a short span of time have turned the party into the most popular political force of Baluchistan.” He stressed upon the workers to continue strive for better performance. The delegation showed full trust on the president.
