PM Shehbaz announces several road projects in Punjab

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif laid the foundation on Saturday for a road project in Sharqpur, Sheikhupura.

These initiatives include a 19-kilometer-long Lahore bypass, which will link Kala Shah Kaku to the Lahore-Karachi Motorway, as well as an extension of the latter to Sigian Road and the Main Ravi Bridge.

It also includes the Abdul Hakim Motorway’s Esaan Sharqpur Interchange.

Speaking at the event, the prime minister claimed that the previous administration had done nothing to advance the nation’s progress and had instead led it into darkness.

He hoped that in the future, the nation wouldn’t require assistance from the IMF.

The PM added that traffic in Lahore will be made easier by the proposal to extend the Lahore-Karachi Motorway up to Sigian Road and Main Ravi Bridge.

The PM declared, “This will save fuel and generate employment opportunities.”

He stated that the metro bus route from Shahdra to Kala Shah Kaku will be extended.

The PM continued, “About Rs 50 billion will be invested on these development initiatives.
