Information Complex established in Rawalpindi

Punjab Information and Culture Minister Amir Mir laid the foundation stone of Information Complex Rawalpindi in Shamsabad adjacent to Rawalpindi Arts Council.

The Provincial Caretaker Minister for Housing Azfar Ali Nasir and Provincial Caretaker Minister for Education Mansoor Qarder were also present on this occasion.

Mr. Amir was given a detailed briefing about Information Complex Rawalpindi.On the occasion, Amir Mir said that the Information Complex Rawalpindi would be the first field office of Directorate General Public Relations (DGPR) which would have its own state-of-the-art building and all advance media facilities will also be provided.

He further said that DGPR was a source of authentic information and its field offices were being equipped with modern facilities to further strengthen the relationship between the people and the government.

The provincial minister announced that innovated technology will be installed in social media studio, newsroom and electronic media monitoring system would also be provided in the Information Complex Rawalpindi.

The caretaker minister was informed that the first phase of Information Complex Rawalpindi is estimated at Rs 100 million and its construction will be done during the current financial year.

On this occasion, the officers of Directorate Public Relations demanded residential flats for officers and personnel in the next phase of the project.
