KP Announces Rs. 103 Million Plan to Restore 5 Major Highways
The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government has decided to repair and restore five major highways across the province at an estimated cost of Rs. 103 million.
The KP Highways Authority has issued an e-tender for the project, which covers key routes in Mansehra, Shergarh, Darband, Chapar, and Thakot.
According to the details, Rs. 45 million has been allocated for a special repair drive on the 38-kilometer Mansehra–Ogi–Shergarh highway.
Another Rs. 35 million has been set aside for repairs to the Shergarh–Darband and Chapar–Chandor highways.
The government has also allocated Rs. 30 million for the repair of the 15-kilometer Thakot–Darband road, while Rs. 3 million will be spent on clearing debris and landslides along a 35-kilometer stretch of Highway S-5.
Qualified contractors have been invited to submit bids through the e-payment system. Participating companies must be registered with both the Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) and the KP Revenue Authority.
