Karachi mayor opens road project in Malir
KARACHI: Mayor Murtaza Wahab on Friday inaugurated the Rs233.5 million Memon Goth Road after rehabilitation.
Addressing a ceremony, he said that due to improvement of the road infrastructure, travel time from the city to Malir had now been reduced to 15 to 20 minutes.
He said all traffic, sewerage and base-related works had been completed before construction of the roads.
Work on the construction and rehabilitation of some roads along Makran Road has already commenced, while the tendering process for other roads is underway, he said.
The mayor said work is also underway on the dual carriageway project from the airport to Malir Cantt, which will connect Kathore and the rear side of the airport with the motorway.
