Gwadar Airport Construction Advances, 300 MW Coal Power Project Approved
The Chinese Consul General in Karachi, Li Bijan, recently stated that work on the $230 million mega project Gwadar International Airport is progressing quickly.
According to a statement published today by the DGPR, the construction was finished with 4 thousand 600 tons of steel.
The structure of the airport, made up of 4,600 tons of steel, has been completed, and work is currently being done on the roof and interior, as well as the installation of elector-mechanical equipment.
Additionally, a high-level meeting chaired by the Federal Minister for Planning and Development, Ahsan Iqbal, has approved a 300 MW coal power project to be implemented in Gwadar.
Furthermore, the Makran division will also be connected to the National Grid within the next two months, and the project is expected to complete within a time frame of 42 months.
