’90km road project to be completed by 30th’

MULTAN:

The 90-kilometre Multan–Vehari road project is scheduled to be completed by June 30 and Commissioner Multan Division Amir Karim Khan has directed officials to strictly adhere to the timeline.

The commissioner inspected the under-construction multi-billion-rupee project on Monday and reviewed the pace and quality of ongoing development work at various sections of the road.

Officials said the highway, which passes through Multan, Vehari and Khanewal districts, is a key infrastructure project expected to improve transport facilities, enhance trade activity and strengthen regional connectivity across South Punjab.

During the briefing, the commissioner was informed that around 80 percent of the construction work has been completed, while June 30 has been set as the official deadline for completion.

The commissioner also inspected a nine-kilometre stretch from Metla Chowk to Tibba Sultanpur.
