Sindh Cabinet approves construction of homes for nullah affected people

The Sindh Cabinet has resolved to provide free housing to three Nullahs in the Malir Development Authority (MDA) area. (Reported by news source)

The Sindh Cabinet meeting, presided over by Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah, sanctioned the construction of 6,500 dwellings on 248 acres of land to rehouse the nullahs’ affectees. This project is expected to cost PKR 9.42 billion.


During the meeting, the CM emphasized the existing government’s commitment to rehabilitating flood victims and persons who have been displaced as a result of encroachment removal. He stressed the government’s particular initiatives to alleviate poverty and the needs of the impacted populace.


Sindh’s plan to provide free accommodation to Nullah evacuees will meet the housing needs of those affected by the Nullah’s harmful consequences. This will help to ensure secure and long-term housing, as well as socioeconomic stability. Furthermore, the area will give employment chances for those affected.
