PDWP approves Rs19b for six uplift schemes

The Punjab Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP) approved on Tuesday six development schemes of various sectors with an estimated cost of Rs19.926 billion.

These schemes were approved at the fourth PDWP meeting of the current fiscal year 2022-23. The meeting was presided over by the Planning & Development Board Chairman, Abdullah Khan Sumbal, at the P&D Complex.

The approved development schemes included provision of a cricket high performance center at the District Headquarters in Sialkot at the cost of Rs991.464 million; provision of cricket high performance center at the divisional headquarters in Faisalabad at a cost of Rs909.748 million; widening/improvement of road from Sialkot Cantt to Jassar Garrison, in Sialkot and Narowal at a cost of Rs7,298.032 million; construction of dual carriageway from Daska to Sambrial at a cost of Rs1,675.63 million; remodeling of the Katcheri Chowk, Rawalpindi, at a cost of Rs6,422.72 million and the Punjab Integrated Conservation and Rehabilitation Programmed (PICRP) at a cost of Rs2,628.970 million.
