Govt gives nod to Rs15.74b uplift schemes
The Punjab government has approved six development schemes worth Rs15.74 billion.
The approval was given in 15th session of the Punjab Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP) of the current fiscal year 2022-23 on Tuesday.
The meeting was presided over the Planning and Development Board Chairman Abdullah Khan Sumbal.
The approved development schemes include rehabilitation of 32.25km road in Pind Dadan Khan, Choa Saidan Shah from Choa Chowk Chakwal to Choa Bypass in district Chakwal at the cost of Rs2.06 billion.
Rehabilitation of road from Chakwal Tehsil Chowk to Balkasar Interchange via Thoa Bhadar (length 18km) district Chakwal at the cost of Rs1.55 billion; rehabilitation of Khanpur Dhoke Tallian (length 18km) district Chakwal at the cost of Rs1.03 billion, construction of flyover at Sheranwala Gate, Lahore (revised) at the cost of Rs4.9 billion, construction of underpass at Gulab Devi Hospital and additional lanes on Lahore Bridge, Ferozepur Road, Lahore (revised) at the cost of Rs2.25 billion and construction of flyover and at-grade improvement at Shahkam Chowk, Lahore at the cost of Rs3.91 billion.
Provincial Secretary P&D Board Dr Muhammad Sohail Anwar Chaudhary, all Members of the Planning and Development Board, provincial secretaries of concerned departments and other senior representatives of the relevant Provincial Departments also attended the meeting.
