LAHORE (Dunya News) – The Punjab government has decided to soon start work on the Lahore Ring Road Southern Loop 3 project. The Punjab Chief Minister has approved the commencement of work on the project.

The Lahore Ring Road Authority and the NLC will sign an agreement this month and the construction work will be completed in a period of twelve months.

According to details, a special meeting of the Lahore Ring Road Authority was held under the chairmanship of Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar in which Advisor Dr. Salman Shah, Chief Secretary Punjab, Chairman Planning and Development, Secretary Finance, Commissioner Lahore and other officials participated.

Lahore Ring Road Southern Loop 3 will be constructed from Raiwind Road to Multan Road. The 8 km long project will be constructed under a Public-Private Partnership.

Like Motorways, Ring Road Southern Loop 3 will be constructed having six-lanes and the project is slated to be completed in 12 months. Completion of the project will not only reduce traffic congestion inside the city but will also facilitate external traffic.

NLC will build as well as operate the Lahore Ring Road Southern Loop III Project. CM Usman Buzdar has also directed to complete the preparation of the Lahore Southern Loop Four project soon.

Southern Loop Four will link Multan Road to Motorway M3 and with its construction, the 90 km long Lahore Ring Road project will finally be completed.
