CM KP Hands Over Newly Purchased Solid-Waste Machinery to WASA Peshawar

Mahmood Khan, the chief minister of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (KP), has given the Water and Sanitation Services Peshawar (WSSP) the recently acquired solid waste processing equipment to provide basic sanitation services to residents.

During a ceremony conducted at the CM House, Mahmood handed over the equipment purchased for Rs. 413.5 million to the WSSP for 11 new semi-urban union councils.

The equipment consists of 4 excavators, 4 FE loaders, 33 small dumpers, 55 containers, 16 tractors and trolleys, 11 arm rolls, and 55 containers.

Besides, Achini Bala, Chamkani, Larama, Pajjagi, Pakha Ghulam, Pushtakhara Payan, Regi, Sarband, Sufaid Dheri, Wadpaga, and Mera Kachori are the 11 new semi-urban union councils of Peshawar district that have been added to the WSSP domain.

According to the chief minister, the provincial administration is actively working to upgrade the sanitary infrastructure across the whole province.

He claimed that the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Cities Improvement Project, worth Rs. 97 billion, was started by the incumbent administration to provide clean drinking water, build parks and recreational facilities, set up sewerage treatment plants, and provide other civic amenities to the people in the 5 divisional headquarters.

When completed, the aforementioned project would be a significant step toward giving people the greatest municipal services and recreational amenities, he added.

The CM stated that the provincial administration was investing a significant amount of money in enhancing service delivery throughout the province and ensuring that all residents had access to basic services.
