Andreas Pantelidis Honored For Ski Development in Pakistan

Former Greek skier Andreas Pantelidis has been honored by the Pakistan Ski Federation after spearheading the country’s ski development program.

Pantelidis, who competed in the 1984 Sarajevo Winter Olympics in alpine skiing, developed two ski centers in Pakistan that operate internationally.

Along with assistance from the International Ski Federation (FIS), the Pakistan Ski Federation and the Government of Pakistan, the new centers built by Pantelidis can now host FIS events.

They are located in Malam Jabba and Naltar, in the north of the country, with more than 50 athletes this year competing in four international races.
