KP relaxes lockdown for construction sector industries
Advisor to KP CM on Information, Ajmal Khan Wazir has said that the provincial government has decided relaxation in lockdown for construction sector related industries.
He said that under the second phase of construction sector industries including steel, PVC pipes, electric equipment, ceramics, paint, and aluminum manufacturing units would be opened. Similarly, he said sanitary, paint, steel, aluminum, electric, and hardware stores would also be opened.
These shops would remain opened five-day a week till 4:00 p.m. However, he said that these businesses would have to follow the standing operating procedures (SOPs) announced by the government and on Saturday and Sunday they would observe the holiday.

The Shops of essential food items will remain open throughout the week. However, regarding the opening of public transport, he said that representatives of the transporters will discuss with the regional transport authority and will come up with SOPs for inter-district or intra-city transportation including passenger vehicles.
The advisor informed that the nation was fighting against Corona pandemic however some politicians were consistently politicizing things adding Chairman Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP) Bilawal Bhutto Zardari should refrain from confrontation. He advised Bilawal to focus on Sindh rather interfering in other provinces’ affairs adding Sindh hospitals were in dilapidated condition and kids died of hunger in Thar.
While sharing updated information on Coronavirus in the province, the advisor informed that 244 fresh cases were confirmed from the province along with six deaths during the last 24 hours adding that the total number of patients was 3956.
He informed that a total of 209 persons have died from Covid-19 where 984 persons have recovered from the disease adding the entire nation acknowledged the untiring efforts of the frontline force against Coronavirus.
He informed that doctors, paramedics, police, Rescue, and members of the armed forces besides all those on the frontline were putting their efforts in order to protect the nation’s future.
