Work on Bara-Pishtakhara Road launched

KP Governor Ghulam Ali on Monday inaugurated the work on the Bara-Pishtakhara Road construction.Caretaker cabinet members — Minister for Excise and Taxation Manzoor Khan Afridi, Minister for Relief and Rehabilitation Taj Muhammad Afridi, Minister for Law Irshad Qaiser, Special Assistant to Chief Minister on Revenue Pir Haroon Shah — and others were present there.

The governor said the Bara-Pishtakhara Road would be constructed at an estimated cost Rs 775 million while thousands of people from Bara and Peshawar would benefit from the project.He acknowledged that the joblessness was increasing day by day. “That is why the government’s top priority is to provide employment and other facilities to the tribal people,” he added.

The governor said the security forces and tribal people had rendered matchless sacrifices for establishing peace and tranquility.“We know the education sector suffered the most in the Bara tehsil during prolonged militancy,” the governor said but assured that the destroyed schools would be reconstructed soon.

Ghulam Ali said the government would do all to ensure education and health facilities to the people who had already suffered during military operations. He said the government would not tolerate any laxity in the implementation and completion of the development projects.The governor also announced provision of two ambulances for Dogra Hospital in Bara and Hassankhel areas.
