What is maximum loan amount for ‘Apni Chhat Apna Ghar’ Housing Program?

LAHORE – ‘Apni Chhat, Apna Ghar’ program was launched to provide interest-free loans for home construction by Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz and is available through an online portal.

Chief Minister Nawaz noted that Chinese investors view Punjab as a promising investment destination. She also lamented previous political conflicts, arguing that they have impeded national progress.  She stressed that her commitment to public service is unwavering, and that continuous work is part of her duty.

Eligibility Criteria and Payment Plans 

‘Apni Chhat Apna Ghar’ initiative aimed at supporting families with monthly income below Rs50,000, those living in rental properties, and individuals below the poverty threshold.

Who can apply

  • Head of their household in NADRA records.
  • Reside permanently in Punjab, as indicated on their CNIC.
  • Own a land plot up to 5 Marla’s in urban areas or up to 10 Marla’s in rural areas within Punjab, where they plan to build their house.
  • Have no serious criminal record.
  • Have no outstanding debts to banks or financial institutions.
  • Be registered with the National Socio-Economic Registry (NSER) with a PMT score of 60 or lower.

Scheme Details

The Punjab government plans to construct around 100,000 affordable homes. The first phase will see the construction of 5,760 houses.

Payment Plan

  • Financing: 50% to 60% of the construction cost will be covered through interest-free loans.
  • Initial Phase: 5,760 houses will be built.
  • Monthly Payments: Begin at PKR 26,000.

  • Rawalpindi: Near FMC Central Park, covering 142 kanals with 1,728 houses.
  • Sialkot: Near Pasror Road and Sialkot Public School Road, covering 120 kanals with 1,184 houses.
  • Faisalabad: Near Iqra International Institute, covering 78 kanals with 960 houses.
  • Sargodha: Near Royal Orchard, covering 59 kanals with 704 houses.
  • Lahore: Raiwind Road, near Bahria Orchard and Chanar Bagh, covering 120 kanals with 1,184 houses.
