Rs24m allocated for LED street lights

A budget of over Rs24 million has been allocated for the installation of new and modern high-pressure sodium LED street lights on the main highways and link roads from Srinagar Highway to T Junction Murree Road and Zero Point Interchange in the federal capital, said a press release issued by the Capital Development Authority.

In addition, a budget of over Rs24 million has been earmarked for the installation of new and modern Sodium LED Street Lights on the main highways of Srinagar Highway to Peshawar Mor Interchange and Sector G Twelve Metro Bus Route.

Installation of new and modern high-pressure sodium LED street lights and maintenance of old street lights to ensure proper lighting system in the main highways and markets of Margalla Road F-8, F-9, F-10 and F-11. A budget of over Rs23 million has been allocated by CDA for the purpose.

The CDA has set aside a budget of over Rs12 million to ensure proper lighting arrangements from Islamabad Expressway to Sohan Interchange and Zia Masjid. It has also been decided to install new and modern high-pressure sodium LED street lights and restore poor street lights to ensure a proper lighting system from Islamabad Expressway to Zia Masjid and Coral Interchange.

For this purpose, a budget of Rs13 million was allocated by the CDA administration. Apart from this, a budget of about Rs1.5 million has been set by the CDA administration for the installation of road flashers on various highways.
