Rs1.88b spent on development projects
SARGODHA: The district administration on Friday stated that Rs1.88 billion have been spent so far on 2,454 development schemes across the division.
Commissioner Dr. Farah Masood, while chairing a meeting of the Divisional Development Committee at her office, directed the building departments to complete all projects within the stipulated period whilst maintaining proper quality and standard.

She was briefed that Rs96.7 million, out of Rs180 million released for 135 school education schemes across the division, have been utilized.
Additionally, a sum of Rs20.8 million out of Rs50.5 million for three schemes of special education, Rs1.11 billion out of Rs1.19 billion for 720 schemes of social action program phase-1, Rs130.5 million out of Rs650.8 million for social action program phase-2, and Rs500.7 million out of Rs1.84 billion have been spent for 899 schemes of Prime Minister’s Special Programme.
The meeting was further informed that the government had released Rs19 million for 182 schemes across the division for community development program phase-2.
The total cost of these schemes was estimated at Rs1.5 billion; under the program, Rs500 million would be spent on 73 schemes in Sargodha, Rs200 million on 18 schemes in Khushab, Rs400 million on 52 schemes in Mianwali and Rs400 million on 39 schemes in Bhakkar district.
The commissioner asked the Faisalabad Electric Supply Company (FESCO) administration to expedite construction work in district Mianwali and Bhakkar.
The meeting was attended by deputy commissioners of all the four districts Abdullah Nayyar Sheikh, Musarat Jabeen, Umar Sher Chatha, and Musa Raza, Director Development Shakeel Noman, Assistant Executive Engineer (AXEN) Construction Raja Ali Nawaz and other officers.
