Punjab’s New Rs. 2.2 Billion Flyover is Now Open for Traffic
Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif on Thursday inaugurated the Nawaz Sharif Flyover in Sargodha—hailed as the city’s largest infrastructure project to date.
Spanning 1.3 kilometers, the flyover was completed in just eight months, setting a new record for construction in the region. Officials say the project is expected to significantly ease traffic congestion and improve connectivity for thousands of daily commuters.
During the inauguration, CM Maryam Nawaz toured the newly completed flyover and praised the quality of its construction. She was briefed on the project’s scope and impact by Provincial Minister Sohaib Ahmad Bharth, who emphasized its role in transforming local transportation.
The development includes service roads and a sewer channel box to ensure smoother traffic flow and contribute to improved urban planning in the area.
Officials believe the new flyover will boost economic activity and make access to Sargodha easier and faster for people from surrounding regions.
