Plans Sought for Affordable Housing Schemes in 8 Districts
The Punjab Housing and Town Planning Agency (PHATA) has been directed to present plans for the construction of low-cost housing schemes in eight districts as part of the provincial government’s ‘Apna Ghar Apni Chhat’ program.
Punjab Minister for Housing Bilal Yasin issued the directive during a meeting held on Monday. The proposed districts for the scheme include Faisalabad, Sialkot, Layyah, Bhakkar, and Khanewal.
In the meeting, the PHATA Director General reported that 4,800 applicants have already received their first installment for house construction, while 500 have received their second installment. Additionally, 73,498 applications are currently under scrutiny.
