Margalla Avenue Extension Project Gets Go-Ahead from CDA
The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has granted its official approval for a substantial project valued at over Rs. 5.4 billion.
This project involves the extension of Margalla Avenue from N-5 to M-1 (Motorway), a move that is set to have a significant impact on the city’s infrastructure and connectivity.
The decision to green light this project was made during a session of the CDA Development Working Group, which was chaired by CDA Chairman Captain (Retd) Noorul Amin Mengal.
According to project details, approximately 2.4 kilometers of land will be acquired for the extension.
The project is expected to be completed within eight months.
As part of the plan, the construction of an interchange along N-5 (GT Road) is also included.
In a significant addition to healthcare facilities, the meeting also gave the nod for a separate Rs. 186 million projects aimed at expanding CDA Capital Hospital by adding 15 beds.
