GDA Completed Construction of 158km Water Supply Pipeline in Gwadar
Gwadar has finally seen a ray of hope as the region has witnessed the completion of a massive 158km pipeline. The pipeline aims to deliver water from two regions of Gwadar, from the Shadi Kaur and Swad dams. The construction of this water pipe is a big milestone as the town has been facing a huge scarcity of water.
Following that, the Director General of the Gwadar Development Authority (GDA), Mujeeb Ur Rehman Qambarani, took to Twitter and expressed his happiness regarding the successful completion of this huge water project, calling it one of the most challenging endeavors ever undertaken in Gwadar town.
The GDA further confirmed to the residents that the water would be in access to everyone after installing a 141km water distribution pipeline. Qambarani ensured that the authority would provide connections to the new houses as well.
In addition, Mujeeb Ur Rehman Qambarani stated that the achievement is huge, but the water need for the region is more necessary, surpassing the daily demand. The construction of a 158km water supply pipeline in Gwadar will hopefully resolve the water scarcity, and the residents will no longer have to worry about water shortage.
Furthermore, the GDA has constructed four underground storage tanks in the city to support the water infrastructure. These tanks store up to 10 million gallons of water, providing a consistent and solid supply.
