Construction of South Punjab Secretariat Urged to Meet Deadline
Amjad Shoaib Khan Tareen, the Secretary of Services and General Administration Department (S&GAD) in South Punjab, directed relevant officers on Wednesday to ensure the completion of the ongoing South Punjab secretariat construction project within the established time frame.
Chairing a meeting aimed at assessing the project’s progress, Tareen urged officials to rigorously monitor daily progress on the construction project.
He emphasized that the project must adhere to the stipulated deadline and stressed that any negligence or delay would not be tolerated.
Moreover, Tareen also called for comprehensive updates on all aspects of the project, including electrical, mechanical, and sewerage components.
He instructed the Infrastructure Development Authority Punjab (IDAP) to promptly provide the physical and financial plan for the secretariat.
The officials claim that establishing the civil secretariat in South Punjab would enhance interdepartmental coordination and expedite the resolution of public issues, aligning with the vision to serve and facilitate the masses.
Besides, Tareen has also convened a meeting with IDAP officials scheduled for Friday.
