CM approves three mega projects for Lahore
Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Sardar Usman Buzdar approved three mega projects totaling PKR 25 billion for Lahore, news sources reported.
The chief minister instructed the Lahore Development Authority (LDA) to prioritize the completion of the PKR 15 billion Elevated Expressway financial model. The elevated expressway will start from Gulberg and connect Canal Bank Road, Jail Road, Ferozepur Road, Multan Road, and Band Road to the Babu Sabo interchange.
The initiative is intended to reduce traffic congestion on Lahore’s crowded roads by 65 %. Additionally, LDA was also tasked with rehabilitating Sagian Road and complete the work in the current financial year.
CM Buzdar also asked LDA to resume construction work on the much delayed 11 sports complex in the city. The project is expected to cost PKR 4 billion.
