CDA Started Construction of Alexander Road: A New Islamabad-Haripur Border
The Capital Development Authority (CDA) is ready to start the construction work on the long-awaited “Alexander Road” which will link Islamabad with Haripur. (Reported by new source
According to the details, creating a new boundary of Islamabad- Haripur named as “Alexandar Road” to generate a new route drives a name from Alexander Well, which is not official determined yet. The 7.5km road ranges up to the Kenthla areas along with the potential connection to the Haripur areas.
CDA announced official emphasize regarding “No compromise on the building construction rules”, therefore expanding road is essential. Further, CDA guidelines should be strictly followed to save the Margalla Hills greenery as there is a threat to loss due to uncontrolled development.
About funding, an officer mentioned that CDA will commence the reconstruction and expending road as part of a rural area development package. Federal government pass the package of Rs. 10 billion for initiatives of rural areas development. The initial stage of this package will cover the aforementioned road and developing rural areas with worth around Rs. 2.7 billion.
