CDA Begins Work on Another Underpass in Islamabad
The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has started development work on a new underpass at Margalla Enclave on Park Road.
Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP) has issued a traffic plan for the construction of the Margalla Enclave-Park Road underpass. Citizens are advised to follow the traffic plan to avoid inconvenience.
An official said traffic will be regulated through diversions at multiple points to keep movement as smooth as possible.
Diversion Plan
- Rawal Dam Chowk to Tramri
- Traffic will be diverted through NIH Road
- Vehicles will pass via Mohra Noor
- Traffic will merge back onto Park Road after the diversion
- Tramri to Rawal Dam Chowk
- Diversion will begin near Chai Khana
- Vehicles will be routed through CDA Nursery
- Traffic will move along the iron grill section
- Commuters will use two temporary roads
- Vehicles will rejoin Park Road after the diversion
Alternate Routes Suggested
Motorists have also been advised to use:
- Lehtrar Road
- Khanna Pul
- Islamabad Expressway
ITP warned that continued work could put significant pressure on Park Road, especially during peak hours. Citizens are being advised to add 20 to 30 minutes to their travel time to avoid delays.
