Sukkur-Hyderabad M-6 Motorway Construction To Begin Next Month: Aleem Khan
ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Communications Abdul Aleem Khan announced that construction on the Sukkur-Hyderabad M-6 Motorway will formally begin next month.
Preparatory work on the long-awaited project is progressing rapidly, with the formal groundbreaking ceremony scheduled for November this year.
In a statement posted on X, Federal Minister Abdul Aleem Khan said that construction of the motorway, which has remained pending for the past 30 years, is finally set to begin now. He expressed gratitude to Allah Almighty for providing an opportunity to turn the historic M-6 Motorway project into a reality.
Abdul Aleem Khan further said that the M-6 Motorway would give a new impetus to trade and commercial activities in Sindh as well as across Pakistan.
The project would also play a significant role in promoting the country’s economic growth and strengthening regional connectivity.
Federal Minister Abdul Aleem Khan said that President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari would be specially invited to attend the groundbreaking ceremony of the Sukkur-Hyderabad M-6 Motorway.
He added that the Chief Minister of Sindh and distinguished members of the Provincial Cabinet would also be extended special invitations to participate in the occasion.
In his message on X, Federal Minister Abdul Aleem Khan described the M-6 Motorway project as a major milestone in the development and prosperity of Sindh and Pakistan.
