PDWP Approves Development Projects Worth Rs. 56b

LAHORE, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 17th Feb, 2026) Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP) in its 65th meeting of current fiscal year here Tuesday, approved development schemes with a total estimated cost of Rs. 56 billion.

Presided over P&D board Chairman Dr. Naeem Rauf, the forum approved the following schemes:

Signal Free Corridor on Sammundri Road & Construction of Underpass along Rb Canal at Novelty Pull & D-Type Chowk with an estimated cost of Rs. 3,800 million.

Rehabilitation of Sahiwal–Arifwala Road upto District Boundary, District Sahiwal (Revised) at an estimated cost of Rs. 6,100 million.

Rehabilitation of Sahiwal–Arifwala–Bahawalnagar Road (Section District Pakpattan (revised) at an estimated cost of Rs. 9,100 million.

Transformation of Agriculture in Potohar (2025–26 to 2027–28) with an estimated cost of Rs. 8,700 million.

Construction of Multan Metro Bus Project, Bus Depot & Command & Control Center (Package-9), Multan (Revised) with an estimated cost of Rs. 2,400 million.

Establishment of 200 Bedded Mother & Child Hospital in Districts Attock, Bahawalnagar, and Layyah with an estimated cost of Rs. 25,000 million.

Position paper for creation of posts approved for Digitization of Punjab Archives Phase-III

The meeting was attended by P&D Board Secretary, Chief Economist, the Board members and representatives from relevant departments.
