Caretaker CM to Inaugurate Samanabad-Gulshan Ravi Underpass Today
The construction of the Samanabad-Gulshan Ravi underpass has been completed, and it is scheduled to be open for traffic on Tuesday (today).
As per the details, the inauguration of the project is expected to be done by Caretaker Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi, and preparations for the event are currently underway.
Muhammad Asad, the project director from Lahore Development Authority (LDA), confirmed that the construction work has been finalized, and the team is currently adding finishing touches, including the installation of poles, streetlights, and lane markings.
According to Asad, the underpass is set to be accessible for traffic from August 1.
Initially, only the underpass will be open for use, while the completion of service lanes may require some additional time.
Commissioner Muhammad Ali Randhawa recently conducted an inspection of various development projects in the city, including the Samanabad Underpass.
During his visit, he was briefed by the LDA engineering staff about the completion of the underpass.
Randhawa also personally tested the underpass road through a test drive and instructed the team to expedite the installation of lighting poles and lane markings surrounding the underpass.
