PIBC Praised PM’s Relief Package for Construction Sector
Lahore: The Pak-India Business Council welcomed the construction sector relief package announced by Prime Minister Imran Khan, saying it would help bring business in the country and work for the daily wagers.
Noor Muhammad Kasuri, Chairman of the Pak-India Business Council (PIBC) during a conversation with APP on Friday, said that a large number of daily wagers, linked to the construction sector, were affected by the construction projects that were halted.
“Therefore, in the wake of corona virus pandemic situation, Prime Minister’s relief package will help provide relief to construction related workers,” he reiterated.
He said the exemption from duties on building materials like cement will also help the sector-related industry.

He hailed the Prime Minister’s vision as he proclaimed the construction sector to be an industry, adding this would open up new vistas of the country’s investment.
Kasuri also praised Construction Industry Board’s declaration that it would look after business people, their matters and the working class.
He also urged businessmen to invest in Pakistan Housing Scheme and enjoy a levy discount of 90 per cent, in addition to helping the country’s poor class by supplying them with houses at economic rates.
He said that helping the business community during the corona virus pandemic would generate economic activity and help reduce the government’s burden.
