CDA Unveils Plan for Modern Parks in Islamabad
The Capital Development Authority (CDA) is gearing up to create a series of contemporary parks across the federal capital, aimed at providing enhanced recreational options for city residents.
Over the past decade, CDA has successfully developed approximately 37 public parks in Islamabad, and now it’s focusing on expanding this number further in the years to come, according to official sources.
It takes around three to four months to establish a new park once all necessary procedural formalities are completed, the sources revealed.
Currently, Islamabad boasts six amusement parks, which are believed to adequately address the recreational requirements of its residents.
However, the authorities have instituted a policy dictating the construction of a new amusement park whenever a new sector is developed.
The CDA is presently engaged in the development of multiple new sectors including I-11, I-12, I-14, I-15, I-16, D-12, and Park Enclave.
Additionally, Model Villages and parks are being integrated into these areas.
According to officials, the introduction of new parks will be a strategic measure to accommodate the growing demand from the public, aligned with CDA’s approved layout plan.
